More of Jerry’s Story…

Reading the Bible in the New International version (NIV) seemed like a new completely new book to Jerry. He learned that the word “Bible” refers to “many stories.” As he continued reading, he read the stories that all seemed to lead back to God. God was the caring creator who wanted to know him. He was surprised that the creator of the universe wanted to know him. So, he kept reading.

The chaplain continued to visit with Jerry and answered many of his questions.

“Okay, this might be stupid, but why are all these stories leading back to God?”

“The ongoing stories of the Bible are all there to teach us that God loves and accepts us no matter the mistakes or questions we have in life” the Chaplain answered.

Jerry began playing his bass guitar and soon started playing in the penitentiary worship band.
