One area in Seattle I stumbled upon while driving my ice-cream truck was West Seattle and Alki Beach. It was a goldmine for ice-cream sales. I could park in one spot by the beach, turn up my ice-cream sounds and voila!! People came to me and bought lots of ice-cream bars.
One day after selling ice-cream on Alki Beach, I decided to drive wandering around the hills in West Seattle. I came across a large housing development where all the houses were white. It was another goldmine for ice-cream bar sales.
I was not familiar with food stamp vouchers. So, when a cute little kid handed me one, I took it. It looked like some form of money. I continued accepting the vouchers and just figured my boss would know what to do with them.
The day was ending and I was out of bars to sell. So, I closed up my truck for the day and… continued next week…
